Dr. Ravi K. Puri possesses extensive expertise amassed over nearly three decades of dedicated services in teaching and research across Pharmacy, Biochemistry, and Environmental Sciences. His profound knowledge and accomplishments have left a lasting mark in both academic and professional domains, having taught and conducted research at esteemed institutions in the USA and abroad. His scholarly contributions include the publication of nearly a hundred research papers and reviews in prestigious scientific international journals, along with outstanding contributions to reference books published by CRC Press and Lewis Publishers. Additionally, he has also served as a valued member of review panels for numerous prestigious scientific journals worldwide.
In the year 2000, transitioning from academia, Dr Puri embarked on a successful journey in the hospitality industry after taking early retirement from the University of Missouri, where he served as a Group leader at the Environmental Trace Research Center.
Through diligence and integrity, he carved a niche for himself, establishing the Puri Group of Hospitality, which has garnered a stellar reputation in Missouri, the USA, and beyond. Under his leadership, the group proudly owns and operates international franchises such as Hilton Garden Inn, Double Tree, Holiday Inn, Hampton Inn, Hyatt Place, and Comfort Suites, along with restaurants like Garden Grill, Sapphire, and a couple of Cheerleader Grills.
He is the celebrated author of the book entitled Natural Aphrodisiacs: Myth or Reality. The book is widely acclaimed by physicians, nurses, pharmacists, natural products chemists, and herbalists. It is one of the most comprehensive and informative compilations on Natural Aphrodisiacs.
In addition to his scientific pursuits, Dr Puri has delved into spirituality, authoring thought-provoking books such as “Consciousness: The Ultimate Reality” and, “Meditation Over Medication” both of which have received widespread acclaim for their insightful perspectives. His latest work, “God’s Existence: Religious and Scientific Reflection,” continues to spark meaningful discourse on challenging subjects. Remarkably, he explores the intriguing question of whether pets go to heaven in his latest publication entitled “My Pets in Heaven,” drawing from personal experiences and family emotions in navigating the complexities of pet ownership.
